4:06

Release notes for Version 2.8, 2.9

Details:

Release Notes- February 2024

Package Name: FilePulse360
Latest Version:
2.9
Latest Version Name:
Feb '24

New Features
  • Search Org's Custom Object and Standard Objects (that support feed tracking) within the Solution Creation wizard by default.
    • Prior to the new release, the FilePulse360 admin users while creating a solution had to create a FilePulse360 configured object record to define any new object on which they want to create a new FilePulse360 solution.
    • In the latest release, admins will be able to search all custom objects & the following standard objects by default. The app will automatically create an active FilePulse360 configured object record for the selected object on the wizard.
      • Default searchable standard objects: Account, Asset, Campaign, Case, Contact, Contract, Dashboard, Event, Lead, Opportunity, Product, Report, Solution, Task
--Note: In some cases, if the admin's required object for a new solution does not appear on the search list of objects by default in the creation wizard, the admin would still need to create the FilePulse configured object record manually to create a solution on the new object.
  • Solution Naming and Description
    • FilePulse admins can now add a custom name and brief description to FilePulse360 solutions.
      • The chosen name and description will be visible on the left-side list of existing solutions to make it easier for the users to find and understand each solution.
--Note: If the name of a solution is left blank during the creation of a solution then the app will name the solution based on the auto number of the FilePulse360 solution record.
  • Notifications to Groups and Queues
    • FilePulse360 now allows admins to create a solution where the public groups and queues can be set as notification recipients.
    • Users will be allowed to search and set regular public groups & queues as recipients while creating or modifying a solution.
    • Only regular groups and queues will be processed by the app to push notifications.
    • The FilePulse360 licensed users within the selected groups and queues will receive the notification individually.
--Note: Salesforce recommends not having more than 5 level nested groups. We recommend not setting up those groups and queues on FilePulse360.
  • Filepulse 360 Email Service
    • The email service allows users to attach files to specific Salesforce records using emails and receive notifications of the new attachments based on FilePulse solutions.
      • Using Filepulse 360 LWC Component: users will be able to generate a unique 6-digit key for each record where they want to receive files using emails.
      • The 6-digit key will be used on the inbound email’s attachment file name (reference Usage Guide)
      • An email service setup on Salesforce.org will be used to receive, process, and relate the files to the record.
      • The FilePulse notification solution’s functionality will be used to receive notifications based on new file(s) creations using email.
      • To set up the email service, please refer to the Setup & Usage Guide for Email Service Feature
Enhancements
  • Added the functionality to allow users to edit or delete selected users/groups/queues during the creation of a solution.
  • All the newly created FilePulse360 configured object records will be active by default.
  • Enable Chatter notification toggle is allowed for only the objects where chatter feed is enabled.
Fixed Issues
  • Fixed issues with the Object selection list and selected object input field that usually occurred due to Previous Button use bug.
  • Fixed issue with the logical conditions of existing solutions on modify solution wizard.
  • Fixed the issue with the duplicate picklist values displayed on the criteria selection window.
  • Fixed the issue on 'From Email Address' picklist on settings page causing an error
